Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2026
PostOp Navigator, LLC ("PostOp Navigator," "we," "us") provides a post-operative wound surveillance and workflow coordination platform used by surgical practices and their patients. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with our website, applications, and text messaging program.
Information we collect
- Contact information you or your surgical practice provide, such as name, email address, and mobile phone number, used to create accounts and deliver notifications.
- Health-related information submitted through the PostOp Navigator application as part of post-surgical monitoring your surgeon has enrolled you in, such as recovery check-in responses and wound photographs.
- Technical information such as device type and usage logs, used to operate and secure the service.
- Help-content search terms. If you use the search box in the app’s help section, we keep a record of the search terms you enter, along with your recovery day and whether you opened a result. We use these records only to find and fix gaps in our help content. Search terms are never shown to your care team, and searching is not a way to contact them — to reach your care team, use a check-in note or call the office.
How we use information
- To operate the platform: delivering your check-ins to your care team for review, coordinating communication between you and your surgical practice, and sending service notifications.
- To secure the service, maintain audit records, and meet legal obligations.
Health information handled on behalf of surgical practices is protected under applicable law, including HIPAA, and is governed by our agreements with those practices and by your practice's own Notice of Privacy Practices.
Text messaging (SMS)
With your consent, we send transactional text messages such as enrollment links, check-in reminders, and notifications that information is available in your portal or application. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding vendors and aggregators acting solely on our behalf to deliver messages.
Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with: (1) your surgical practice and its clinical staff, for the care coordination purpose you enrolled in; (2) service providers that host and operate our infrastructure under confidentiality and, where applicable, business associate obligations; and (3) as required by law.
Data security and retention
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited to authorized users, and access to clinical records is logged. We retain information as required by our agreements with surgical practices and by applicable law.
Your choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. Questions about health information in your record should be directed to your surgical practice. For other privacy questions, contact us at support@postopnavigator.com.
Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, under Profile → Delete Account. This permanently removes your login and app access. It does not delete health information you have already submitted, because that information becomes part of the medical record kept by your treating practice and must be retained under applicable law. To ask about your medical record itself, contact your treating practice.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version.
